We disconnect what can be safely disconnected, protect the floors and door frames on the way out, and take the unit with us. Appliances are awkward more than they are heavy — a fridge coming up a basement stairwell or a washer wedged into a second-floor laundry closet is a two-person job with straps and a stair dolly, which is what we bring. Nothing gets dragged across your finished floor. If the old unit is coming out because a new one is going in, we can time the pickup around the delivery so you are not living around a dead appliance for a week.

Flat-Rate Pricing, Confirmed Up Front
You get a flat rate before we touch anything. Text a photo of the appliance and where it sits, or call and describe it, and you will usually have a number in minutes. The price covers the labor, the loading, the drive and the disposal fee — there is no separate charge at the end for the refrigerant or the dump ticket. If we get there and the job is smaller than it looked, the price comes down.
Responsible Cleanup
Appliances are mostly steel, and steel gets recycled. Units that still run go toward donation or resale where there is a taker. Anything with a sealed refrigeration system — fridges, freezers, some dehumidifiers and window units — has to have its refrigerant recovered by a certified technician before the metal can be processed, so those go to a scrap yard equipped to do it rather than into a landfill. That is the part most people do not have a way to handle themselves, and it is the main reason appliances end up sitting in garages for years.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to disconnect it before you get there?
Helpful but not required for electric units. For anything on a gas line — a gas dryer or range — the gas should be shut off and the line capped by someone qualified before we move it. We are not going to disconnect gas, and you would not want us to.
Will you take just one appliance?
Yes. Single-item pickups are a big part of what we do, and it is the reason a lot of people call us instead of renting a dumpster. If you have one dead dryer, that is a fine reason to call.
What if the appliance still works?
Tell us. A working unit has somewhere better to go than a scrap pile, and we would rather route it there.

REUSE AND RECYCLING
Whenever practical, ClearPath separates scrap metal and usable components for recycling or donation through local channels. Refrigerant-containing appliances are handled through appropriate disposal options. We do not leave appliances beside a dumpster or expect you to handle the heavy lifting after we leave.
