Exercise Equipment Removal
It came down the stairs in boxes and it isn't going back up in one piece. ClearPath hauls treadmills, ellipticals, home gyms, weight benches, and racks out of basements and spare bedrooms across the Kansas City metro and Northland — disassembled on the spot when that's what it takes, which is most of the time.

What's Included
Treadmills, ellipticals, stationary and spin bikes, rowers, stair climbers, multi-station home gyms, power racks and squat stands, benches, dumbbell sets and plate weights, and the rubber mat underneath it all. Machines that won't fit through the door get broken down — decks, uprights, and consoles come apart. Plate weights and dumbbells are dense and heavy, so tell us roughly how much iron is in the room when you ask for a quote.
Who This Service Is For
People reclaiming a room, families clearing a parent's house, sellers emptying a basement before a listing, landlords who inherited a tenant's gym, and anyone whose New Year purchase became a very expensive place to hang laundry. No commentary from us on that last one.
Flat-Rate Pricing, Confirmed Up Front
Every ClearPath job is quoted as a flat rate before anyone lifts a thing. Text photos or call and you'll usually have a number within minutes. What we agree to is what you pay — no hourly meter, no add-ons at the end, and no charge for the quote itself. We're locally owned and insured, and the person who answers the phone is the person who shows up.
Responsible Cleanup
Equipment in working condition is worth donating and we'll try — treadmills and ellipticals that still run can find a home. Beyond that, this category recycles unusually well: frames, racks, plates, and dumbbells are steel and go straight to a scrap yard, and motors and electronics get recycled separately. Very little of a home gym actually has to go to a landfill.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a treadmill come up basement stairs?
Yes. Most fold or come apart at the deck and upright; the ones that don't get taken down further. Either way it's coming out, and the price is set before we start.
I have a lot of plate weights. Does that change the price?
It can. Weight is the one thing that genuinely affects these jobs — a few hundred pounds of iron is a different load than an elliptical. Give us a rough count when you call and the quote will reflect it accurately rather than getting revised on site.
Will you take the rubber flooring too?
Yes. Gym mats, interlocking tiles, and rolled rubber all come out with the equipment.
What about a Peloton or a smart machine that still works?
Tell us before we load it. Those are worth trying to sell or donate rather than scrapping, and it costs you nothing to ask.
