Hoarding Cleanouts

These jobs are hard for the person calling, and we know it. ClearPath handles hoarding cleanouts across the Kansas City metro and Northland with discretion and without commentary — we've done enough of them to know that the hauling is the easy part. We work at the pace the household can handle, we sort before we throw, and we don't make anyone feel worse than they already do.

What's Included

A full clear-out, room by room, at whatever pace works. We sort as we go rather than treating everything as trash — paperwork, photographs, jewelry, and anything that looks like it matters gets set aside for you to review instead of loaded. Furniture, appliances, accumulated goods, bagged trash, and floor-to-ceiling stacks all go. Multi-day jobs are normal and we'll plan for one rather than rushing a house that took twenty years to fill.

Who This Service Is For

Adult children helping a parent, spouses, people making the call for themselves, social workers and case managers, and landlords or property managers who've inherited a unit in this condition. If a family member is involved in the decision, it usually goes better when they're there for the first hour and then step away — we'll follow whatever plan you set.

Flat-Rate Pricing, Confirmed Up Front

Every ClearPath job is quoted as a flat rate before anyone lifts a thing. Text photos or call and you'll usually have a number within minutes. What we agree to is what you pay — no hourly meter, no add-ons at the end, and no charge for the quote itself. We're locally owned and insured, and the person who answers the phone is the person who shows up.

Responsible Cleanup

We donate aggressively on these jobs, because most of what's in the house is usable and the family usually wants it to go somewhere rather than a landfill. Metal, appliances, and electronics are recycled. What we're not: a biohazard remediation company. Human or animal waste, mold on the structure, and sharps need a licensed remediation crew, and we'll say so plainly and help you find one rather than pretending otherwise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the neighbors know?

Our truck is marked, but we can park where you tell us to and work as quietly as the job allows. If discretion is the main concern, say so when you book and we'll plan the approach around it.

What happens if you find something important?

It gets set aside, not loaded. Money, documents, photos, jewelry, and anything else that looks like it matters goes into a box for you to go through. We ask up front what to watch for — a specific document, a piece of jewelry, a set of photos — and we watch for it.

Can we do it in stages?

Yes, and often that's the right call. One room at a time, over several visits, is easier on everyone than emptying a house in a day. You get a flat quote for each stage.

What about animal or human waste, or mold?

That's biohazard remediation, and it needs a licensed crew — not us. We'll tell you plainly if that's what we're looking at and point you toward someone who does it properly. Once the remediation is done we're happy to come back for the hauling.

How much does it cost?

It depends on volume, and volume on these jobs is hard to judge from a doorway. We'll come look, quote a flat rate, and stick to it. The quote is free and there's no pressure attached to it.
