What's Included
We bring the equipment and the people. Uprights come out on a piano dolly and straps; grands get the legs and lyre removed and go out on a board. Stairs, tight hallway turns, and basement stairwells are normal — that's usually why you're calling. Doorways and floors get protected on the way out, and we sweep up whatever the piano was hiding. If it can't come out in one piece, we'll break it down on site rather than telling you it's impossible.

What we agree to is what you pay — no hourly meter, no add-ons at the end, and no charge for the quote itself. We're locally owned and insured, and the person who answers the phone is the person who shows up.
Responsible Cleanup
Playable instruments we try to place before we scrap them. Beyond that, a piano is mostly wood, cast iron, copper, and steel: the plate and strings go to a scrap yard for recycling and the case goes as wood waste. It's more recyclable than most people expect, which is some consolation when a family heirloom finally has to go.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you get it up or down a flight of stairs?
Yes. Basement stairwells and second-floor bedrooms are routine for us. Send a photo or a short video of the stairs and the doorway when you ask for a quote — the path matters more to the price than the piano does.
Do you take grand pianos?
Yes. Legs and lyre come off, the body goes on a skid board, and it comes out that way. Grands take more crew and more time than an upright, and the quote reflects that up front.
Is my piano worth anything?
Usually less than people hope. Most uprights over about fifty years old cost more to restore and move than they're worth, which is why they're so hard to give away. If yours is a name worth a second look we'll say so — we'd rather it went to someone who'd play it.
Can you move it to another room instead of hauling it off?
Sometimes. Ask when you call. If it's a straightforward move within the house we can often do it, but a full cross-town piano move is a specialist's job and we'll tell you to call one.
