Scrap Metal Removal
Metal is the one category where the disposal actually works in your favor. It recycles cleanly, it has value, and it should never see a landfill. ClearPath picks up scrap metal across the Kansas City metro and northwest Missouri — appliances, sheet tin, implements, wire, and the pile behind the shop — and takes it to a scrap yard rather than a dump.

What's Included
Appliances and HVAC units, water heaters and boilers, sheet tin and roofing, farm implements and parts, fence wire and steel posts, pipe and conduit, rebar and structural steel, shelving and racking, filing cabinets, swing sets and trampolines, bed frames, cast iron, radiators, and the loose pile nobody's sorted. We do the sorting and the loading. Sealed refrigerant units may need certified recovery before they can be scrapped — we'll tell you when that applies.
Who This Service Is For
Farms and acreages across Clinton, Caldwell, Clay, and Ray County, shops and small garages, contractors with an accumulation out back, and homeowners clearing a garage. On a farm this is usually part of a bigger job — see barn and farm cleanouts, where the metal is often the majority of the load.
Flat-Rate Pricing, Confirmed Up Front
Every ClearPath job is quoted as a flat rate before anyone lifts a thing. Text photos or call and you'll usually have a number within minutes. What we agree to is what you pay — no hourly meter, no add-ons at the end, and no charge for the quote itself. We're locally owned and insured, and the person who answers the phone is the person who shows up.
Responsible Cleanup
This is the page where the recycling line isn't marketing. Ferrous and non-ferrous metal both go to a scrap yard, get weighed, and get melted back into something. Copper, aluminum, and brass are worth meaningfully more than steel, which matters to your quote. What we can't take is anything with fluids still in it, pressurized tanks, or sealed refrigerant systems that haven't been evacuated.
Frequently Asked Questions
If the metal is worth something, is the pickup free?
Sometimes, and we'll be straight about it. A load that's heavy on clean metal — especially copper, aluminum, or brass — can offset the job entirely or come close. A mixed load with a little metal in it won't. We factor scrap value into the quote either way and tell you what we're seeing rather than quietly pocketing it.
Do I need to sort it first?
No. We sort as we load, which is part of what you're paying for. If you have already separated copper or aluminum, mention it — it makes the quote better.
Will you take just one appliance?
Yes, though small single-item pickups work best paired with another job in the area. Send a photo and we'll tell you what we can do and when.
Can you take an old car or farm truck?
No. Titled vehicles need a licensed salvage buyer, and that's a different transaction with paperwork we don't handle. Untitled implements, trailers, and equipment are fine.
